Modular Belt Material

Siegling ProLink Modular belts are an efficient and varied range of designs for every application. Rot-resistant, durable and FDA compliant.

Cleaning modular belts is a simple task, flexible and easily removed and put back in place. Rods are inserted to join modules together making them flexible and endless.

Standard Materials

Siegling Prolink modules made of standard materials are FDA compliant.

Polyethylene (PE)

  • Very good chemical resistance to acids and alkalis
  • Very good release properties due to low surface tension
  • Good friction and abrasion behaviour
  • Extremely tough
  • Low specific weight

Polypropylene (PP)

  • Standard material for normal conveying applications
  • Quite strong and stiff
  • Good dynamic capacity
  • Highly resistant to acids, alkalis, salts, alcohols
  • Low specific weight
  • No risk of stress cracks forming

Polyoxymethylene/Polyacetal (POM)

  • Very dimensionally stable
  • Very strong and stiff
  • High chemical resistance to organic solvents
  • Lower drag
  • Very durable material
  • Hard, incision-resistant surface

Special Materials

POM cut resistant (POM-CR)

  • Highly resistant to impact and incision
  • Easy to clean
  • Minimal ridge formation
  • Low risk of material delamination

POM highly conductive (POM-HC)

  • Highly conductive material
  • Surface resistivity < 104 Ohm (according to specification)
  • Very strong and stiff
  • Very good friction and abrasion properties

POM metal detectable (POM-MD)

  • Material easily detected in metal detectors
  • Very strong and stiff
  • Very good tribological properties (friction and abrasion levels)

Polyamide high temperature (PA 6.6-HT)

  • Material reinforced with fibre glass
  • Very high short-term temperature resistance up to 180 °C (356 °F)
  • Absorbs little water in humid environments
  • Very stiff
  • Durable

Self-extinguishing highly conductive material (PXX-HC)

  • Flame retardant in line with DIN EN 13501 (Bfl – s1) and DIN 4102 (B1)
  • Surface resistivity < 106 Ohm
  • Specially for use in the automotive industry

Polybutylenterephthalate (PBT)

  • Good wear resistance
  • Very good abrasive resistance
  • Good strength and stiffness

Self-extinguishing material (PXX)

  • Quite strong and stiff
  • Good dynamic capacity
  • Highly resistant to acids, alkalis, salts, alcohols

High temperature nylon (PA HT)

  • Suitable for temperatures of between -30°C and +155°C
